During my waking hours
When the morning still
hides the awakend birds
And wraps the perfume of
the frangipani blooms
Into a coil
Of her own making…
When the sky still had
clouds skudding
And playing with the huge
moon
And the sea in the near
distance merely croons…
I seek thee in this
solitude…
The eyes are still filled
with the sleep
And the dreams I dreamt
Have slowly begun to fade
And melt into
forgetfullness…
All that I seek
In this waking moment
Is you, besides me…
My hands search the
spaces around
Only to return back to me,
empty.
You, bodily, remain
unfound.
You had been there all
night though
This I know
Cause I had lain in your
arms
Wrapped in that
encompassing hug
But now
As my eyes open slowly
I realize the weaving of
the thoughts
Had become all real
dreams…
I seek you
As my eyes shut once
again
And my lips
Dry and parched
Seek you who is miles so
far apart …
From me.
